Abstrakt:
There was a short period of time at the end of 1960 years, where attempts of reformation of communist party and society in Czechoslovakia were made and were the highest state authorities reevaluated the approach of solving issues of Roma inhabitants. The concept of society based on assimilation and spread was replaced by the concept of a complex society integration based on the sociology research of Roma inhabitants. Committees of Czech and Slovak government were solving mentioned issues. The role of resolving specific problems was trusted upon national committees for Roma inhabitants.
For the first time, the highest state authorities partially admitted some of the cultural specifics of Roma inhabitants. Based on analyses, they were classified as “social‑ethnic group”. The establishment of specialized social work with Roma individuals, families and groups., was a positive advancement in resolution of this issue. Despite this advancement, until the termination of the communistic government, its representatives did not give up the previous after the Second World War concept from the 1950 years, which was to assimilate, by any aviable means, Roma inhabitants together with the rest of the society.
