Abstrakt:
Our submission deals with the matter of ethnic broadcasting in Slovak Radio. It has a dedicated radio station called Radio Patria with headquarters in Kosice. Ethnic broadcasting for Roma, Rusyn, Ukrainian, Czech, Polish and German listeners covers the topics of social and political problems of different minorities in programmes reflecting current globalisation trends with emphasis on preservation of cultural identity development, legal consciousness and social accountability. Our main aim is to exemplify programme structure of media products, to specify the genre variability of radio journalism and then to define information potential of audio-visual media in Slovakia. We will also focus on the question of defining the message of media contents for society.Kľúčové slová:
